🔍 R350 call-out to inspect & diagnose

Quick answer

We repair dishwashers on site across Gauteng, including Johannesburg, Sandton, Midrand, Pretoria, Centurion and the East Rand. The common jobs are drain pumps, blocked filters and sumps, heating elements, inlet valves, leaks and door seals, and control board faults. Bosch, Siemens, Samsung, LG, Defy, Hisense, Smeg, Miele and Whirlpool are all in a normal week's work. The call-out and diagnosis is R350, and you get a fixed price before we start.

Try this before you book

Plenty of dishwasher call-outs turn out to be a blocked filter. Twist out the filter in the floor of the tub and rinse it. Check there's no glass or bone sitting in the sump underneath, and that the drain hose behind the machine isn't kinked. If it still won't drain, our dishwasher not draining guide walks through the rest.

Common error codes

BrandCodeWhat it usually means
Bosch / SiemensE15Water in the base tray. The anti-flood system has tripped, so there's a leak to find.
Bosch / SiemensE24 / E25Not draining: hose or sink connection (E24), or the drain pump is blocked (E25)
Samsung5C / OCDrain problem, or water level too high
LGOE / IENot draining (OE), or not filling (IE)

Codes vary between models, so treat these as a starting point.

Is it worth fixing?

Usually, yes. Drain pumps, inlet valves, door seals and filters are modest repairs. A heating element or heat pump costs more but is still normally worth it on a machine under about eight years old. A dead control board on an old, cheap dishwasher is where we'll give you the honest comparison with buying new. See the repair cost guide.

Frequently asked questions

Why is there water in the bottom of my dishwasher?

Most often a blocked filter, a kinked drain hose or a jammed drain pump. Clean the filter first. If it still won't drain, the pump needs testing.

What does E15 mean on a Bosch dishwasher?

Water has collected in the base tray and the anti-flood system has stopped the machine. There's a leak somewhere, usually a seal, hose or valve, that needs finding before you run it again.

My dishwasher isn't cleaning properly. Is it broken?

Not always. Blocked spray arms and a dirty filter cause most of it. If those are clean, the wash pump or heating may be at fault.

How long does a dishwasher repair take?

Most repairs take under an hour and a half on site once we have the part.

Which dishwasher brands do you repair?

Bosch, Siemens, Samsung, LG, Defy, Hisense, Smeg, Miele, Whirlpool and most others.
