Glass-door drinks cooler leaking gas: leak repaired and regassed
This upright glass-door drinks cooler stands in a covered patio entertainment area, and it was leaking gas. Simply topping up the gas would only have lasted until it leaked out again, so our technician found the leak, repaired it with a brazing torch, then regassed the cooler to the correct charge and checked it was cooling again. Tip: coolers in outdoor areas work much harder in summer. Keep the grille at the bottom clear of dust and leaves, and leave space around the cooler so air can flow.
Bosch fridge showing E07: main control board replaced
The display on this Bosch NoFrost fridge-freezer was showing error E07. An error code can point to more than one part, so rather than guessing, our technicians traced the wiring loom and measured the resistance across several components, including in the freezer section, with a multimeter. Those tests led us to the main control board (PCB). We replaced the board, and the fridge came back to normal: -18 °C in the freezer and 4 °C in the fridge. Tip: a control board is a bigger repair, so it's worth testing the wiring and other components first to be sure the board really is the fault.
